Not blogging at all was not an option. I thought it was, but really, Facebook is not the same as blogging. Facebook is too easy – share a cute meme, throw a goat photo up from time to time, and you are done.
Sure, I have been able to sell some of my hand-painted and hand-dyed silk scarves on Facebook, but I need to do more for my little business, especially since neither of us has a paying job at the moment.
And, I want to talk a lot more about our farm, our animals, our ups and our downs. I will need to figure out how to fit my regular political rants into this blog, also. When I was blogging as She Who Will Be Obeyed, I did a lot of that.
My hope is that I’ll figure out a theme that can be used with different sections. I don’t want to chase away customers for my fiber arts by ranting too much about the state of the world.
I also want to support other people who are their own bosses – authors, farmers, artists and ranchers – in this blog.
Wish me luck. I tend to be a rather lazy woman. I’m hoping this will help me to work harder and to use the talents that God has given me.
Oh, yeah, I’m Catholic. Not a great Catholic, but I’m really Catholic, and you will hear about that, I’m sure.
Yay! good to see you back!
